Our Mission & Vision

The School of the Arts cultivates visionary storytellers, artisans, and creators in film, visual, and performing arts. Through artistic growth, critical thinking, and technical mastery, we prepare students for transfer, workforce careers, and lifelong creativity. As Northern Arizona's cultural heart, we provide accessible, high-quality arts experiences that foster community, collaboration, and belonging — transforming lives and elevating Yavapai County through the power of the arts.

Our teaching philosophy is simple: be the person you wish you had. Every faculty and staff member is committed to rapid communication, flexibility, and clear organization — training students and patrons to succeed, offering genuine feedback and encouragement, and building rapport and community. We connect with each student and patron as an individual, model excellence in our craft, and treat everyone with warmth and respect.

"Be the person you wish you had."
